You know you love ballroom dancing when you finish two back-to-back dance rehearsals, get home, grab some leftovers from the fridge and sit down to watch your favorite show, “Dancing with the stars,” on Hulu.
Season 25 has been incredible so far. Each season, the dancers bring different strengths to the ballroom, whether it’s their athleticism, impressive technique, or their great personality and innate ability to entertain the crowd. I think this season was special because there was a soulful quality to the performances, especially from those couples who made it close to the finals.
Some of the best stories in life are told without use of words. Whether it’s a masterpiece painted by an artist or a dance performed on a stage. The remaining celebrity dancers – actors, musicians, and singers – all come from an artistic background. They were able to extend their artistry out to the dance floor by touching the audience’ hearts with their expressive, authentic and passionate performances. The semi-finals week featured iconic dances which the couples had to recreate as their second dance of the day. For someone who has been watching “Dancing with the Stars” from the start, it was really fun to see different interpretation for some of the best dances ever performed on the show.
At the end of the semi-finals week, it was sad to see Victorial Arlen go as she has been a true inspiration for the whole season. Victoria became paralyzed, living in a wheelchair for nearly a decade, after developing a rare neurological condition which targeted her body. Now finally getting back to health, she was not only able to stand up to her disease but transformed herself into an incredible dancer and performer.
Next week is the finale, and I can’t wait to see the remaining couples to wow us once again as America is getting ready to vote for their favorite celebrity dancer. Let the best couple win!
- Drew Scott and Emma Slater are full of great energy and personality, and they surely know how to get the crowd going. It was impressive to see Drew in a different light as a great performer and an entertaining dancer since, after seeing him on his reality TV show “Property Brothers,” I always thought of the other twin as the “fun one.”
- Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold – a perfect package! I would be so thrilled to see Lindsay get her first Mirrorball Trophy. Jordan’s artistry, expression and technique are simply amazing and make him look like a true professional. I think this couple has a great chance of getting to the finish line.
- Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson show us incredible power, strength and partnership. Frankie’s charisma and dedication have made him a true contender this season.
- Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas – the dreamy duo. Linsdey reminds me of a magical fairy. She is so original, authentic and expressive as a person and now as a dancer as well. This couple has consistently given us great performances, so it will be interesting to see if they can stand out next week.
Congratulations to the remaining couples who are now ready to perform at the finals! And, Julianne Hough is coming back to judge the show, which is super exciting.
